About Us
The Magic Meathands are a high energy ensemble of comedy improvisers based in Los Angeles, CA. With their unique ability to adapt to any performance
situation the Magic Meathands redefine the art of improv comedy as a defiant expression of creative energy and the relentless celebration of life. The
Meathands have almost 300 shows under their belt since becoming a traveling performance ensemble in June 2007. They have kicked off couples retreats,
performed for at-risk kids, put on a play, and tickled friends around the world through their antics on Youtube. We welcome you to become a part of our
comedy family by joining our fan club and traveling along with us as we take the fun to as many communities as our rented Astro will reach.
Mission Statement
To provide the many communities of Greater Los Angeles and Southern California the much needed gift of laughter through accessible performance and
instruction of Improvised Comedy Theatre.
Vision
It has been said countless times by countless generations that laughter is the best medicine. This is the medicine we seek to provide. The Magic Meathands
are made up of actors, writers, and community members of all walks of life. By bringing together members of the community and instructing them in the art of
humor through improvised comedy theatre, we create and empower a group of comedic performers who can then share the joy that humor brings with the
community itself. Using improv, we then seek to facilitate engaging, compelling and inspiring theatre that maximizes the comedic potential of any given
moment. In short, we try to be as funny as possible. It is our intention, then, to provide Greater Los Angeles and Southern California with regularly available
programming that is both affordable and accessible at as many locations as our resources will provide. As well, we can reach beyond our regional borders to
the virtual space via the internet with live performance video and scripted web series.

Squeaky Clean
A show for all ages. All off-color material and objectionable
language completely avoided.
Network Television
A show for families. Minimal use of language outside the scope of
what's considered widely acceptable. Off color material mildly
suggested but not portrayed on stage.
Late Night
A show for adults. All language generally free game but not
overdone. Mature subject matter pertaining to adult relationships
life experience explored freely. Socio/political satire very much in
play here.
Anything Goes
Um... yeah. Not for the squeamish.

Performances with a question mark rating are unrestricted shows
and may vary between Squeaky Clean and Anything Goes.

Comedy improv classes and comedy theatre training programs are available from Bill Johnson Productions in Los Angeles. This program includes the courses that
form the basis of The Magic Meathands live improv comedy ensemble. Take a class in live improv comedy for live performance skills in our theatre workshops.
Study workshops include Level One - Values Workshop, Level Two - Skills Workshop, Performer's Workshop, and "The Improv Student Medley" show in the
Greater LA area. Improv classes teach improvisation skills in a school setting located in West LA and provide an opportunity to perform live in a theater setting for
aspiring improvisers. Affiliates: I Love A Good Story, Mike Thompson
